Wakil, a Deputy Superintendent of Police added, “The canoe driver and one Aisha Adamu, feminine (16), Umaru Adamu, Male (30) had been rescued unconscious.”
He stated upon receipt of the report, the DPO and a crew of policemen rushed to the scene.
“The corpses had been faraway from the river and brought to the Common Hospital Itas, for postmortem examination.
“A medical physician licensed 18 individuals lifeless, whereas 5 individuals had been rescued,” he said.
