BERLIN (AP) — The European Union says vaccine maker AstraZeneca has agreed to produce 9 million further doses to the 27-nation bloc in the course of the first quarter.
The brand new goal of 40 million doses by the tip of March remains to be solely half what the corporate had initially aimed for, triggering a spat between AstraZeneca and the EU final week.
European Fee President Ursula von der Leyen mentioned late Sunday that the British-Swedish pharmaceutical maker may even start deliveries one week prior to scheduled and broaden its manufacturing capability in Europe.
