DANVILLE, Va. (AP) — A former “Survivor” contestant has been charged in Virginia with grand larceny, authorities stated.
Jonny Fairplay, who whereas competing on the present in 2003 turned recognized for orchestrating a lie that his grandmother had died, was charged after a silver necklace and furnishings have been taken from a residence, the Pittsylvania County Sheriff’s Workplace stated. Additionally charged was Fairplay’s mom, Patsy Terry Corridor, 68, the Danville Register & Bee reported Wednesday.
The sheriff’s workplace stated Fairplay’s aunt filed the grievance, in response to TV station WSET. Sheriff’s workplace officers wouldn’t say who lived on the house, in response to the Register & Bee.
Fairplay, 46, and Corridor turned themselves in at a Justice of the Peace’s workplace Friday after Danville police served them warrants, a police spokesman informed the newspaper.
Fairplay declined remark to the Register & Bee past stating a earlier response to superstar web site TMZ. TMZ quoted Fairplay as saying that he had been “unjustly charged” by a member of the family and would welcome the chance to vindicate himself.
