DALLAS (AP) — A West Texas oilman’s mural-sized print of an Ansel Adams photograph has bought for almost $1 million at an public sale.
Sotheby’s New York, the public sale home, stated Tuesday that “The Grand Tetons and the Snake River, Grand Teton Nationwide Park, Wyoming” bought for $988,000, a file worth for Adams at public sale.
The {photograph}, taken on fee for the Division of Inside in 1942, reveals a view of the mountains over Jackson Gap. Sotheby’s stated it’s believed to be one among lower than 10 mural-sized prints of the picture in existence and was acquired from the photographer’s descendants.
