GREENWICH — Voters in Greenwich can have another probability to listen to from their state legislature candidates — with the questions coming this time from the city’s youth.
All the candidates are scheduled to participate in an Oct. 30 debate, with college students from Greenwich Excessive Faculty writing and asking the questions and serving because the timers.
The controversy, sponsored by the League of Ladies Voters of Greenwich in partnership with the GHS We The Individuals program, will likely be broadcast through Zoom.
The slate of candidates scheduled to participate are, within the 36th Senate District, Democratic state Sen. Stephen Meskers and Republican challenger Joe Kelly; and within the 151st Home District, incumbent Republican state Rep. Harry Arora and Democratic challenger Hector Arezno.
The 52-minute debate is slated to start at 1:54 p.m. Oct. 30.
