YOUNGSTOWN — After a victorious battle and faith-filled journey, a number of God’s choicest angels escorted Glenda Jeanne Briddell Gilchrist, 67, to her new everlasting residence, Thursday, Oct. 15, 2020, from the Cleveland Clinic.
Glenda Jeanne was born Monday, Jan. 26, 1953, in Philadelphia, Pa., to Elsie Eggleton Briddell and Earwin Briddell. Glenda was preceded in delivery by her solely brother, Sheraton, who beloved her from the day she arrived.
Glenda was a fun-loving younger woman and the apple of her father’s eye. She had a robust appreciation for her heritage and the ability of household. Glenda beloved her household, her grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins, all of whom she loved spending time with. Household meant every thing to Glenda.
Glenda grew up in an Apostolic residence, the place the Phrase of God was the information by which she was nurtured and by which she lived. Underneath the religious steerage of her household’s pastor, the late District Elder Stephen Vivid, Glenda was baptized on the early age of 6 years previous in 1959 and obtained the promised present of the Holy Ghost shortly thereafter at Zion Pentecostal Temple, Philadelphia, Pa. Although she was younger in years, Glenda was a clever and delicate spirit. It was all the time her want to reside doing good to all she would meet.

Glenda met the love of her life, Kenneth W. Gilchrist, throughout their highschool years and church fellowship. To this union, three youngsters had been born, Kenneth Wayne Jr., Wesley James and Kellie Denise.

She leaves to cherish the life she lived, her husband; her youngsters, Kenneth Wayne Jr., Wesley James (Natosha) and Kellie Denise; her dad and mom; brother, Sheraton (Candice) of Sicklerville, N.J.; father-in-love, James Ok. Gilchrist; brothers-in-love, Craig (Quen) and Carl, all of Youngstown; sister-in-love, Kimberly (David Lara) of Philadelphia, Pa.; grandchildren, Genesis and Taj; a number of cousins, nieces and nephews; and lots of associates.
She was preceded in demise by her grandparents; her mother-in-love, Lydia Gilchrist; and sister-in-love, Cynthia Gilchrist, who transitioned in Could of this 12 months.
Visitation can be 9 to 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 23, 2020, at Mount Calvary Pentecostal Church. Personal providers will observe for the household solely.
