Robert, often known as “Bob,” was born Sept. 30, 1930, in Flint, Mich., the son of the late Ernest and Helen Gault Calhoun.
Bob was a 1948 graduate of Bendle Excessive Faculty in Burton, Mich. In 1951, he enlisted within the Marine Corps. and served throughout the Korean Struggle. He was honorably discharged in 1953 and returned to his hometown after his service. He started working for Normal Motors Fisher Physique No. 2 in Flint, Mich., as a employee’s compensation administrator.
