POLAND — Virginia Jean Demyan, 79, entered into everlasting life, surrounded by her household, Tuesday night, Dec. 15, 2020, at St. Elizabeth Boardman Hospital.
Virginia was born Jan. 23, 1941, in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Cossitt and Mollie Johnson Templeton.
A lifelong space resident, Virginia attended East Excessive Faculty. On Sept. 6, 1958, she married the love of her life, Joseph S. Demyan Sr., at St. Stephen of Hungary Church. They had been blessed with 42 years of marriage till his passing July 23, 2001. Mrs. Demyan was a devoted homemaker and in addition helped with the bookkeeping at her husband’s enterprise, Demyan’s Amoco.
Virginia was a former member of St. Stephen of Hungary and a present member of Christ Our Savior Parish at St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church. She belonged to the church’s Altar and Rosary Society and loved making pierogi together with her pals at Holy Trinity Church. Virginia additionally gave of her time volunteering with Hospice of the Valley.
In her free time, she loved crocheting, making many stunning afghans, child blankets and child garments, gifting them to household and pals. Virginia’s different hobbies included studying, particularly mysteries and love tales, cooking, baking, canning and cheering on the Indians and 49ers. Greater than something, she liked centering herself round household and by no means missed the chance to attend her grandchildren’s actions.
Virginia’s favourite time of the 12 months was Christmas and he or she liked filling her residence with stunning decorations to have a good time. Friendship was necessary to Virginia and he or she was grateful for her shut knit relationships together with her many neighbors.
Virginia is survived by her son, Joseph S. (Victoria) Demyan Jr. of Struthers; three grandchildren, Joseph S. (Maureen) Demyan III of Struthers, Nicolette (Matthew) Kowal of Brighton, Mich. and Daniel Demyan of Struthers; great-grandchild, Matthew “Matty” Kowal Jr.; sister-in-law, Anna Vagilla of Wooster; and quite a few nieces and nephews.
Along with her mother and father and husband, she was preceded in demise by her sister, Shirley Surano; aunt, Dorothy Manda; mother-in-law, Ann Demyan; brothers-in-law, Daniel P. Demyan and John Vagilla; and niece, Christine Dow.
A non-public Mass of Christian burial for the household was held at St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church, adopted by interment in St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery.
